THERE AND BACK AGAIN 002

   “THERE AND BACK AGAIN”

Welcome to all!  Once again I’m blessed to have a block in a Quiltmaker 100 Blocks issue, Pg 44.  I find this block exciting because it offers so very many different opportunities for different looks with fabric choices.   Wow – the possibilities!

THERE AND BACK AGAIN 001

I particularly like this black and red sample I made.  I named it “Blood Moon” because the early morning after I assembled it, I saw my first actual “blood moon” – quite an amazing sight.

THERE&BACK

Was recently at Picket Fence Quilts in Wichita, Ks.  Lisa, the owner, got out a mirror.  I am now so inspired to create a quilt with 4 of these blocks as a center medalion, layout would be on point.

P.S.  If you’ve never been on a quilt shop bus tour, put it on your bucket list!   Last weekend in April I went with some friends (and new friends) to quilt shops in Kansas, Nebr, Iowa, and Missouri.  Had great fun – and oh my – so many beautiful fabrics.

Copy of 2015 TERI SAMPLER

Had a FABULOUS time as usual at annual retreat sponsered by Picket Fence Quilts (Wichita)

Here are more of my sampler pattern completed by these lovely “fellow-retreaters”.

This pattern was such a success at a quilt shop in Texas, they are using it for a beginner class.

2014 HALEY TOY

This is Miss Haley.  She is the store mascot of PICKET FENCE QUILT COMPANY in Wichita Kansas.  She also happens to be sister to my Wylie.  “Aunt Debbie” gets a wonderfully excited welcome when she pops in at Picket Fence, expecially if she brings a new toy to dismantle.   HA!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL !!!

Busy, Blessed, and Joyful was the Christmas holiday with family.  Sharing the year’s events, playing volleyball, chasing each other on go carts, and eating, of course!

But I admit I’m anxious to get back to the sewing machine with all the new designs popping around in my head, like a new t-shirt quilt pattern, tablerunners, and baby quilts.

Shipped off lots of patterns for a test run in two national stores, so am thrilled at the possibilities that could bring, including the cross pattern above.    I’m to teach a class at Picket Fence Quilt Company  on crayon tinting/embroidery coming soon.  Bought a brand new box of crayons just for that project – too fun!  Have the coloring done, now must go upstairs and prepare to get started with the embroidery.

Joyful Stitching to you!
