SPR SQUARED VOL 8

  I AM BEYOND THRILLED AND HONORED TO ONCE AGAIN HAVE A BLOCK PUBLISHED IN QUILTMAKERS 100 BLOCKS.

   SPRING SQUARED   IS BLOCK #744, PAGE 45

  THE FIRST CLASSES I TAUGHT IN A QUILT SHOP WERE BEGINNER SAMPLER CLASSES.  SAMPLER QUILTS ARE MY FIRST LOVE, AS WELL AS INSPIRING NEW QUILTERS.

  WITH THIS BLOCK, I HOPE TO INSPIRE NEWCOMERS TO THE APPLIQUE WORLD WITH THE SIMPLE LINES, AND THE INTERESTING LOOK OF A “SQUARED” TULIP.

   I HAVE FUN PLANS FOR THIS BLOCK!  BUT HOUSTON QUILT MARKET HAS KEPT ME QUITE OCCUPIED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.  CHECK OUT MY PREVIOUS POSTS TO SEE SOME OF THE DESIGNS I TOOK TO MARKET.     I’M PARTICULARLY EXCITED ABOUT THE MY NEW BLOCK OF THE MONTH SAMPLER PATTERN  “SIMPLY SAMPLER“.

    I have always loved tulips. As teen in 1960 I made curtains for my bedroom with the tulip theme. I used ric-rack for grass and bais tape for stems.
