HELLO ALL!     WELCOME ON BEHALF OF MYSELF AND QUILTMAKER MAGAZINE!      

     I’m so please and honored to share my block with Quiltmaker Magazine and all of you.  KANSAS FORTUNE is a great block for your future quilts.  Positioning of the block can give you lots of really quite different looks.   I’m excited to be working on a pattern that puts KANSAS FORTUNE on point too.    Great block for just about any line or style of fabrics imaginable.

    What a neat block. The yellow colorway makes me think of Kansas sunflowers. I love the different samples that show how the block will look in different colors and settings.

    Really like your block, especially in the first setting. And your cairn, Wylie, is such a cutie! (I used to have an Australian terrier, and I’m partial to terriers…so much playfulness and spunk in such a small package!)

    Your block makes me think of the faceted jewels block, except with some powerful ZING! The block creates appealing patterns when placed in different layouts! I love it!

    I love your block in the first setting you show. It’s one of the blocks I’ve seen that I would really like to use in a quilt. Simple but makes a nice impact. Also, love that you have three dogs (all cuties), and let the rabbits have some space. Sweet.

    There’s obviously a lot of “playing” possible with your block. It’s one of the things I find fascinating about quilting — how we each can add our own individual approach to using a block.

    Dazzling design..lots of potential for fun with this block. The central cross is a powerful focal point, but the diagonal chains are equally dynamic. It’s a great block, congratulations!
